The National Coalition for Literacy is seeking award nominations for its 2015 Literacy Leadership Award Celebration. The event will be held in Washington D.C. this spring, thanks to the generous support of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. You must be a member of NCL in order to make a nomination.
A nominee must have made a significant contribution to the field of adult education and literacy that is national in scope or has national significance. (Note that a state or local initiative that has received notable national attention or has been widely recognized as a model for the field would qualify.) Nominees may be public policy advocates or policy makers, elected officials, program administrators, instructors (paid or volunteer), financial supporters, business leaders, partners, or students. Literacy Leadership Award Winners will be notified in the first week of February 2015. A small stipend will be available upon request by award winners to apply toward the costs of travel to Washington, D.C. In addition, where available, air travel for award winners to and from Washington, D.C. will be available, thanks to the generosity of Southwest Airlines.
Nominations must be submitted by January 16th, 2015.

- Demonstrated an impact on the field of adult education
- Exhibited leadership as a change agent in adult education
- Provided extraordinary support of adult education
The NCL Board of Directors will consider this statement in recommending a slate of awardees for approval to the NCL membership.
